Welcome Supper: If you are new to Church and have never been to a Welcome Supper at the Rectory, then you are warmly invited to one. Fair-trade Fortnight: is coming soon! It runs from 26th Feb to 11th March. The Traidcraft Big Brew will take place at the Old Gaol, Saturday March 11th in aid of Traidcraft’s ‘hidden entrepreneur’ campaign. See info on the cupboard.
Fabric Team Leader. We are seeking someone to oversee the maintenance of our Grade 1 listed Church. This is a managerial job that requires a love of our building and the ability to liaise with contractors and apply for permissions for projects. You’ll need to be available for meetings in working hours. If interested in serving in this vital role please speak to Will.
Prayer for the World: We will be meeting to pray for the world 4pm, Wed. 21st February at 21, Lenborough Rd. We pray for our mission partners, the persecuted church and other current needs. Deanery Lent Evensongs: There will be an Evensong in a different Village Church on each Sunday in Lent, based on Bishop Steven’s book ‘Abundant Life - Reflections on the Raising of Lazarus’. Pick up a flier at the back of church for week by week venues and preachers.
Pop Up Connect Group: A new 6 week initiative at The Centre. There is still time to join us on Friday evenings: 7pm for a 7.30pm start. The Wisdom House is based on a dvd from Care for the Family by Rob Parsons. Contact Ian/Flo on 816718 for more details – join us if you can!
Bookstall: There is a new selection of books on the bookstall, many suitable for Lent and Easter. Some of the children’s books would make an ideal Easter gift for younger children. Please have a look.
