Eternal God, you crown the year with your goodness

Prayer Ministry:  Available at the 9.30am, 11.00am and 6.00pm services, in the Lady Chapel. At the 11.00am, please come after receiving Communion or later. Receiving prayer brings the Lord’s healing and wholeness.
 
Alpha: Alpha has started and is on Wednesdays 7.30 – 9.30pm in church.  It isn’t too late to join the course so please sign up now – it is the best investment of time possible.   Please also take an invitation from the table at the back of church and invite or encourage someone to attend. Children’s Pastor: BPC is recruiting a Children's Pastor. The post is half-time, beginning as soon as possible after October 1. For more information or to receive an application pack, please contact Rev'd Danny Rodgers on curate@bpchurch.uk. Deadline for applications is September 28.
 
Barn Dance and Supper: 13th October 6.15pm for 6.30pm Tickets (£9.00) are available from the office. If you would be willing to help please let the office know.
 
The Ark: is an activity morning for 70+ babies and toddlers. Could you join a rota to help with car parking around the church and directing to other parking places around the town when we are full? Ark is held between 9.30am and 11.00am on Thursdays during term time only. We also need someone to play the piano for us from 11am - 11.45am from time to time. Please contact with Jo Brice on 07852 115924 or families@bpchurch.uk if you are able to help us out. Thanks in advance.
 
Messy Church: We saw a record of 120 people attend Messy Church in September - truly amazing. Many families came after attending Holiday Club and some are looking to go on the next Alpha course. We need  some helpers to join our team in support of our activity leaders on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Could you help, even if just for 2 or 3 times a year? Summer Sunday Services: If you usually attend the 9.30am service and came along to the Summer Sunday Services, we have a survey for you.  We would like to find out how successful the Summer Sundays have been.  Please go to www.bpchurch.uk/summer.  It will take no longer than five minutes and we would be very grateful for your comments.
 
Women’s breakfast: Saturday 20th October at 9am in church. There will be a continental style breakfast, followed by a talk from Jacqui Cooke on the ‘Power of prayer in ministry’. All women are welcome and please do invite and bring a friend too! It is £3 per person on the door - please let us know if you’d like to come. The sign up sheet is at the back of church or you can email women@bpchurch.uk to book a place.
 
Greek Lessons and New Testament studies: These take place on Saturdays at 9.30 at The Centre.
 
 
Praying in colour creativity evenings: On 2nd Monday of each month in the Tower Room at BPC. We will have an evening of refreshment and a time to listen and be still and receive God’s healing touch through different creative starting points. Open to all. Christmas Day Lunch.  Volunteers needed on Christmas Day for a variety of jobs including hosting, driving, washing up and clearing the Community Centre.  We also need a chef who is trained and willing to cook a three course meal for 70 (48 guests and 22 helpers) on Christmas Day?  Contact:  stephen.townsend@salvationarmy.org.uk or 07770 380717.
 
Standing Strong: (Open Doors conference) A one-day celebration in Birmingham on Sat. 17th November with amazing stories of God's faithfulness in places where faith costs the most, with speakers from North Korea, Egypt and India. Tickets are £15 (or less for a group) and are selling fast. Safeguarding: A new on-line course has been developed by the Church of England which provides  essential information and knowledge on this.  It is free, and is open for anyone to complete. It is particularly recommended for those who have any sort of position of responsibility.  The course can be accessed via the BPC website -you will find it on the Safeguarding page, which is accessed from the 'About us' tab.

The Annual Fairtrade Town Anniversary Event: Saturday September 22nd 10am to noon in the Old Gaol.  Come and enjoy Fairtrade refreshments, browse the stalls and look at the displays. Buckingham has now sold enough rice to send one child in Malawi to school for a year – the challenge will be relaunched to fund a second child.
