6pm informal service - "Ignite"
Our 6pm evening service is called 'Ignite' and we would love to welcome you to it - it's growing rapidly.
Ignite is an informal service for anyone looking for a space to worship God where people are open to the Holy Spirit. The music is normally led by the Ignite worship band and involves a wide range of contemporary music laced with more traditional hymns.
On the first Sunday of each month there is a Communion Service where different forms of worship are explored. For example there are occasional Taize services which add further to the diversity of worship.
There is an emphasis on Bible-based preaching and teaching which we hope will inspire and build up those already established in their faith as well as helping those seeking to find out what the Christian faith says about life and the world we live in.
Creating a caring and supportive community is very much part of the Ignite ethos and our act of worship includes sharing fellowship over a cup of tea or coffee before and after the service. Members of our prayer support team are also available at every service to offer pray ministry for those who would like someone to pray and be prayer for.
Members of Ignite are also involved in running Alpha courses and leading House Groups so it is a good place to find out more about the life of our church.
Café Ignite is a spin–off from Ignite and continues the theme of community and fellowship. It takes place every Saturday in church at 10.30am. It provides a meeting place for members of the church as well as a welcoming place to bring friends for a cup of coffee and on a good day some excellent cake.
